Job summary

MicroSourcing is seeking a Senior General Ledger Accountant to lead monthly, quarterly, and annual closes and ensure IFRS compliance. You will prepare complex journal entries, manage reconciliations, and support internal controls while partnering with FP&A, Tax, and Operations to automate processes.

The role is onsite at Two - Ecom Center, Pasay City, with night shift hours, offering competitive rewards and professional growth within a large SSC environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 4–7 years of general accounting experience in a multi-regional, multi-currency environment.
• Strong knowledge of IFRS or GAAP for GL & financial reporting.
• Experience with large ERP environments (Oracle, SAP, MS Dynamics).
• Capable of meeting tight monthly close schedules and performing complex reconciliations.

Responsibilities

• Lead monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes with IFRS compliance.
• Prepare, review, and post journal entries, accruals, reclassifications, and analyses.
• Execute balance sheet reconciliations and intercompany reconciliations.
• Maintain internal controls, audit schedules, and support technical accounting research.
• Collaborate with FP&A, Tax, and Operations to drive automation and process improvements.

Your Role

As a Senior General Ledger Accountant, you will:

• Lead monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close processes to ensure strict timelines and IFRS compliance are met.
• Prepare, review, and post complex journal entries, accruals, reclassifications, and perform comprehensive balance sheet and income statement flux analyses.
• Execute complex balance sheet reconciliations, reconcile intercompany transactions, and review work prepared by other accountants.
• Maintain internal controls, prepare robust audit schedules, and support technical accounting research.
• Partner cross-functionally with FP&A, Tax, and Operations to drive accounting automation and process improvements during the close.

What You Need

Non-negotiables

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• 4 to 7 years of general accounting experience, preferably in a multi-regional and multi-currency organization.
• Strong knowledge of IFRS or GAAP as it relates to general ledger accounting and financial reporting.
• Experience working in a large ERP environment (e.g., Oracle, SAP, Microsoft Dynamics, or similar).
• Proven ability to meet tight monthly accounting close schedules and execute complex balance sheet reconciliations.

Preferred Skills/expertise

• Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or equivalent credential.
• Experience working within a Shared Services Center (SSC) environment handling global operations.
• Intermediate to advanced proficiency in MS Office Suite (including pivot tables, VLOOKUP, and complex functions).
• Fluency in the Spanish language (spoken and written).
• Demonstrated continuous improvement mindset focused on process automation, efficiency, and strengthening controls.
