Job summary

MicroSourcing in Pasay City is seeking a Senior General Ledger Accountant to oversee monthly, quarterly, and annual closes, ensuring IFRS compliance and accuracy across multi-currency operations.

You will prepare complex journal entries, perform balance sheet reconciliations, maintain internal controls, and collaborate with FP&A, Tax, and Operations to drive process improvements and automation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 4–7 years of general accounting experience in multi-regional/multi-currency org.
• Strong knowledge of IFRS or GAAP for general ledger accounting & reporting.
• Experience in a large ERP environment (Oracle, SAP, Microsoft Dynamics or similar).
• Ability to meet tight monthly close schedules and perform complex reconciliations.
• CPA or equivalent credential (preferred).
• SSC environment experience (preferred).
• Proficiency in MS Office Suite (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, complex functions).
• Spanish fluency (spoken and written) (preferred).
• Continuous improvement mindset focused on automation, efficiency, and stronger controls.

Responsibilities

• Lead monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes with IFRS compliance.
• Prepare, review, and post complex journal entries, accruals, reclassifications, and analyses.
• Perform balance sheet reconciliations, intercompany reconciliations, and review others’ work.
• Maintain internal controls, audit schedules, and support accounting research.
• Collaborate with FP&A, Tax, and Operations to drive automation and process improvements.

Your Role

• Lead monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close processes to ensure strict timelines and IFRS compliance are met.
• Prepare, review, and post complex journal entries, accruals, reclassifications, and perform comprehensive balance sheet and income statement flux analyses.
• Execute complex balance sheet reconciliations, reconcile intercompany transactions, and review work prepared by other accountants.
• Maintain internal controls, prepare robust audit schedules, and support technical accounting research.
• Partner cross-functionally with FP&A, Tax, and Operations to drive accounting automation and process improvements during the close.

What You Need

• Non-negotiables
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• 4 to 7 years of general accounting experience, preferably in a multi-regional and multi-currency organization.
• Strong knowledge of IFRS or GAAP as it relates to general ledger accounting and financial reporting.
• Experience working in a large ERP environment (e.g., Oracle, SAP, Microsoft Dynamics, or similar).
• Proven ability to meet tight monthly accounting close schedules and execute complex balance sheet reconciliations.

Preferred Skills/expertise

• Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or equivalent credential.
• Experience working within a Shared Services Center (SSC) environment handling global operations.
• Intermediate to advanced proficiency in MS Office Suite (including pivot tables, VLOOKUP, and complex functions).
• Fluency in the Spanish language (spoken and written).
• Demonstrated continuous improvement mindset focused on process automation, efficiency, and strengthening controls.
