Job summary

Penbrothers seeks a Senior General Accountant to own end-to-end general accounting deliverables, including month-end close, fixed assets, reconciliations, and supporting schedules. You will collaborate with the Finance Manager to enhance financial reporting and ensure IFRS/PFRS compliance in a fast-paced service environment.

The role requires a CPA advantage, 4+ years of experience, and proficiency with NetSuite and MS Excel.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related business field; CPA is an advantage.
• At least 4 years of relevant experience in general accounting.
• Experience in a BPO, shared-services, or service company is strongly preferred.
• Working knowledge of IFRS/PFRS and end-to-end general accounting (Record-to-Report) processes.
• Proficiency in accounting/ERP systems (e.g., NetSuite) and strong MS Excel skills.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills, with keen attention to detail and the ability to meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage month-end close and journal entries.
• Maintain fixed asset register including depreciation calculations.
• Prepare and review bank reconciliations.
• Reconcile P&L and Balance Sheet accounts with supporting schedules.
• Prepare monthly schedules for key general accounts.
• Assist in preparing financial statements per IFRS/PFRS.
• Produce monthly and quarterly management reporting packs and variance analyses.
• Support internal and external audits and regulatory reviews.
• Forecast and budget for assigned accounts and drive process improvements.
