Job summary

EPAM Systems is seeking a Lead Forward Deployed Engineer to act as a highly autonomous, business-facing technical lead. You will partner with stakeholders to define requirements and deliver production-ready software with minimal BA/Scrum support, deeply integrating GitHub Copilot and other AI assistants.

You will own the end‑to‑end delivery lifecycle, coordinating with cross‑functional teams and mentoring engineers while adapting to evolving client needs and priorities.

Qualifications

• At least 5 years of hands-on software engineering experience.
• Minimum 1 year leading and managing engineering teams.
• Full-stack experience with .NET/C# backend and Angular frontend.
• Experience deploying and managing applications on AWS.
• Daily use of GitHub Copilot or comparable AI coding assistants.
• Strong business communication and independent agile delivery without BA/Scrum Master.
• Excellent debugging, code review, and security auditing of AI-generated code.
• English fluency at C1 level or above.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary technical point of contact for clients throughout the engagement lifecycle.
• Translate high-level business goals into actionable technical plans and roadmaps.
• Own the full delivery process from concept to live deployment.
• Make independent decisions on architecture, tooling, and implementation with minimal oversight.
• Coordinate with cross-functional teams to align technical and business goals.
• Identify risks early and proactively develop solutions to keep projects on track.
• Mentor and guide team members to raise engineering quality and efficiency.
• Refine internal workflows to accelerate delivery without sacrificing quality.
• Present progress, decisions, and outcomes to business stakeholders in clear terms.
• Adapt to shifting priorities and evolving client needs while maintaining momentum.
