Job summary

Emerson in Mohali, India seeks a senior software engineer to shape the future of its customer-facing digital engineering applications. You will design, develop, and deploy cloud-native web apps using TypeScript/JavaScript, Node.js, React, Cosmos DB, RESTful APIs, and CI/CD pipelines.

You will own features across the full software lifecycle, mentor teammates, participate in architectural discussions, and drive best practices to optimize performance and reliability.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of professional software development experience.
• Strong expertise in JavaScript, TypeScript, Node.js, React, HTML, and CSS.
• Experience designing REST APIs and microservices.
• Hands-on experience deploying and operating applications on a major cloud platform (Azure preferred) with containerization and infrastructure-as-code.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop and implement new applications and improvements using TypeScript/JavaScript, Node.js, React, Cosmos DB, RESTful APIs, CI/CD pipelines and other relevant technologies.
• Demonstrate end-to-end ownership of features across the software development lifecycle.
• Provide technical guidance within the team and mentor junior engineers on sound design principles.
• Participate in architectural discussions and shape the technical direction of digital applications.
• Optimize software performance using monitoring, logging, and metrics.
• Collaborate with other teams and stakeholders to ensure seamless integration and deployment.
• Participate in code and design reviews to ensure high quality code and adherence to standards.
