Job summary

Manulife is seeking a Senior Financial Analyst to support Global Wealth and Asset Management Finance with FP&A in Asia. You will deliver financial reporting, forecasting, and analysis, consolidating data across markets, and presenting insights to regional stakeholders.

You will drive process improvements, automation, and robust controls while coordinating with country teams, Hong Kong partners, and global teams. The role emphasizes accuracy, timeliness, and clear financial storytelling.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance.
• At least 3 years of relevant finance experience.
• Working knowledge of budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, and financial modelling.
• Advanced Excel skills and strong PowerPoint proficiency.
• Strong technical accounting knowledge and understanding of business operations and financial reporting structures.

Responsibilities

• Prepare financial reporting, forecast, and planning inputs and provide direct FP&A support for assigned Asia markets and business channels.
• Consolidate, validate, and analyze financial and non-financial information across Asia to support regional management reporting and decision-making.
• Deliver accurate and timely reports, dashboards, and presentations, including monthly and quarterly management decks, WAM MIS, sales commentary, and expense reporting, as assigned.
• Analyze performance against forecasts, plans, and prior periods; explain key business drivers and highlight risks, opportunities, and issues requiring follow-up.
• Support quarterly forecasting and annual planning at market, channel, and consolidated levels through trend analysis, financial modelling, scenario and sensitivity analysis, and management presentations.
• Maintain reporting templates and supporting working files, reconcile data across source systems, and investigate discrepancies with the relevant data and business owners.
• Coordinate reporting inputs, timelines, and clarification requests with Asia country teams, Hong Kong-based finance partners, and global stakeholders, escalating unresolved issues as needed.
• Improve reporting processes through standardization, simplification, and automation to strengthen data quality, controls, and reporting efficiency.
• Support ad hoc analysis and stakeholder requests within the team’s agreed scope and priorities.
• Maintain process documentation and participate in cross-training and backup coverage to support knowledge transfer and business continuity.
• Support onboarding and training of new team members and perform peer quality checks on assigned deliverables, as needed.
