MicroSourcing is seeking a Senior Financial Accountant for on-site duties in Pasay City, night shift. The role requires a strong accounting background, leadership abilities, and international client exposure.

The role emphasizes month-end close, reconciliations, reporting, and collaboration with cross-functional teams. Ideal candidates will demonstrate integrity, attention to detail, and proactivity in process improvements.

Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (required).
• Experience: At least 6 years in accounting or finance.
• International exposure: Prior experience supporting US/Canada/Australia clients is preferred.
• Advanced Excel: Formulas, reporting, reconciliations, pivot tables, data analysis.
• Technical knowledge: GAAP/international accounting standards, ERP systems.

Responsibilities

• End-to-End Reconciliations: Monthly reconciliation of revenue and balance sheet accounts.
• Financial Reporting & Statements: Prepare periodic financial reports and journal entries.
• Month-End & Year-End Close: Support month-end and year-end close activities.
• Audit & Internal Controls: Coordinate with auditors and strengthen controls.
• Financial Analysis & Budgeting: Support budgeting, forecasting, and ad-hoc analyses.
• Data Management: Maintain data confidentiality and file organization.

Your Role

As a Senior Financial Accountant, you will bring strong technical expertise and industry exposure to our finance team. While this is an individual contributor role, you will showcase your leadership by mentoring and guiding junior team members and collaborating effectively across cross-functional teams.

Key Responsibilities

• End-to-End Reconciliations: Monthly reconciliation of revenue and related balance sheet accounts (credit card transactions, payables, receivables) against processor statements.
• Financial Reporting & Statements: Prepare periodic financial reports (monthly/quarterly), journal entries for revenue recognition, accruals, adjustments, and supporting schedules for financial statements.
• Month-End & Year-End Close: Actively assist in month-end and year-end close activities, ensuring accuracy and strict adherence to timelines.
• Audit & Internal Controls: Coordinate with internal teams and external auditors, prepare working papers, retrieve files, and participate in process improvement initiatives to strengthen internal controls.
• Financial Analysis & Budgeting: Support budgeting and forecasting efforts by preparing cost schedules, monitoring cash flows, and performing ad hoc financial analysis or special projects.
• Data Management: Support the Finance Department’s schedule management, file organization, and maintain strict data confidentiality.

What You Need

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Experience: At least 6 years of solid, relevant experience in accounting or finance.
• International Exposure: Prior accounting experience supporting US, Canada, or Australia-based clients/businesses is highly preferred.
• Advanced Excel Skills: High proficiency in Microsoft Excel is required, including strong knowledge of formulas, reporting, reconciliations, pivot tables, and data analysis.
• Technical Knowledge: Deep understanding of accounting principles (GAAP or applicable international standards), accounting software, and ERP systems.
• Soft Skills & Leadership: Strong interpersonal, communication, and collaboration skills with the ability to naturally mentor and guide team members (without direct management).
• Attributes: High integrity, strong analytical ability, exceptional attention to detail, and a proven track record of stable tenure/employment history.
