Job summary

AVENSYS CONSULTING INC. is seeking an experienced Group Controller to oversee day-to-day accounting for the Hong Kong parent entities.

You will ensure accurate records, drive month-end and year-end close, support audits and group reporting, and ensure statutory compliance. The role requires a CPA, a Bachelor’s in accounting or finance, 10 years in Big Four or reputable firm, 10 years in corporate finance, ERP experience, and advanced Excel.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and maintain accounting records for the Group's Hong Kong parent entities, ensuring transactions are accurately recorded and supported.
• Perform and review daily accounting activities, including journal entries, account reconciliations, and general ledger maintenance.
• Oversee accounts payable, accounts receivable, and bank reconciliations where applicable.
• Oversee and supervise the intercompany reconciliations process and confirmations, ensuring balances are accurate and discrepancies are resolved on a timely basis.
• Coordinate and monitor intercompany funding, loans, recharge arrangements, and other related transactions in accordance with Group policies.
• Assist with month-end and year-end closing activities, ensuring accounting records are complete and accurate within established deadlines.
• Maintain fixed asset registers, prepaid expenses, accruals, and other balance sheet schedules.
• Support the preparation of statutory accounting records and schedules required for annual audits, tax filings, and regulatory compliance.
• Ensure compliance with Hong Kong accounting standards, tax regulations, and statutory filing requirements.
• Provide guidance and support to junior accounting team members, promoting best practices and consistent accounting procedures.

About the role
