Job summary

A Plus Falcons Freight Inc. seeks an experienced Finance and Accounting Manager to oversee all financial operations, ensure accurate reporting, and manage budgeting and team performance.

The role covers day-to-day accounting, journal entries, AR/AP, payroll, and system enhancements for efficiency. The ideal candidate has deep knowledge of GAAP/IFRS, BIR processes, and at least 7 years in a similar capacity, preferably in logistics.

Qualifications

• Graduated of BS Accounting or Accountancy.
• With at least 7 years working experience in the same capacity.
• Must be familiar in QuickBooks and other accounting systems.
• Knowledgeable in BIR process.
• With background in logistics company is an advantage.
• Willing to be assigned in Ermita Center Building, Ermita Manila.

Responsibilities

• Ensure that all day-to-day financial transactions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, cash receipts, credit card transactions, and payroll, are accurately recorded and maintained.
• Perform timely and accurate month-end and year-end closing activities, including journal entries and balance sheet reconciliations.
• Maintain and update accounting schedules to ensure completeness and accuracy of financial records.
• Ensure proper recognition of revenue and expenses in accordance with applicable accounting standards.
• Monitor cash balances and oversee cash flow management, including preparation of cash flow forecasts.
• Ensure compliance with GAAP/IFRS and local tax laws and regulations.
• Assist in the preparation, monitoring, and analysis of departmental and organizational budgets, and support monthly financial reporting requirements.
• Support year-end closing processes and coordinate with external auditors for audit requirements.
• Maintain regular communication with management regarding financial performance and issues.
• Identify opportunities to improve financial processes and systems, including implementing and optimizing accounting software and training staff on its use.
• Oversee select administrative and regulatory requirements related to finance and taxation.
• Perform other finance-related duties as assigned to support organizational objectives.
• May be required to perform other related duties as assigned by the President/CEO.
