Job summary

CBRE Asia Pacific in Makati is seeking a seasoned Building Engineer to monitor, maintain and repair critical building systems, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and safety infrastructure. You will oversee daily operations and guide a team of technicians to ensure 24/7 readiness for BPO production floors.

The ideal candidate is a licensed mechanical or electrical engineer with at least seven years’ experience in facilities or building systems, with strong leadership, vendor management, and

Qualifications

• Licensed Mechanical or Electrical Engineer with 7+ years in facilities or building systems.
• Experience in facilities/building engineering within BPO or commercial environments.
• Strong understanding of HVAC and electrical systems.
• Proven leadership experience managing technical teams.
• Knowledge of safety standards and local codes.
• Willingness to work a shifting schedule, 6 days a week.
• Able to start ASAP.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily operations and maintenance of building systems (HVAC, electrical, plumbing, fire protection).
• Lead, mentor, and supervise building technicians and maintenance staff.
• Implement preventive, corrective, and predictive maintenance programs.
• Ensure 24/7 operational readiness to support BPO production floors.
• Manage, operate, and troubleshoot facilities equipment (air conditioning, UPS, generators, switchgears, electrical panels, pumps, elevators, chillers, etc.).
• Troubleshoot equipment issues, perform root-cause analysis and corrective actions.
• Maintain safety, regulatory compliance, and vendor SLAs.
• Maintain equipment logs and asset documentation.
• Support energy-efficiency initiatives and cost-effective operations.
• Respond to facility emergencies and provide on-call coverage as needed.
