Job summary

Commvault is seeking a Senior Engineer - C++ for Bangalore, Hyderabad and Pune locations. In this role you will build scalable, high-performance enterprise software for a distributed storage platform.

You will design, develop, and maintain core components; participate in architectural reviews; mentor junior engineers; debug production issues; and drive secure, reliable solutions with cross-functional teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• 4+ years of software development experience.
• Strong experience in C++ object oriented programming.
• Good understanding of Linux and Windows internals.
• Hands-on debugging and troubleshooting with standard tools.
• Experience with micro-services, client-server and distributed systems.
• Knowledge of data structures, algorithms and design patterns.

Who you are…

• Bachelor's degree required.
• 4 or more years of software development experience
• Strong experience in C++ Object oriented programming.
• Good understanding of Linux and Windows internals, including process, memory, storage, and networking concepts.
• Hands-on experience with debugging and troubleshooting tools such as gdb, WinDbg, ProcMon, Wireshark, tcpdump, or similar.
• Proven experience with crash dump analysis, memory leaks, handle leaks, deadlocks, race conditions, and performance tuning.
• Strong experience working with systems involving micro-services & service architecture, client-server architecture, and distributed systems.
• Strong understanding of Data Structures, Algorithms, Object-Oriented Design, and Design Patterns.
• Familiarity with Git, CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and software development best practices.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Excellent problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills with a strong sense of ownership.
• Security and SaaS experience strongly preferred.
