Job summary

AEX Architects Exchange in Davao City is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer to lead electrical design and project coordination, driving innovation in electrical and electronic systems.

The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, a PE license, and at least 5 years UAE experience, with expertise in AutoCAD, BIM Revit MEP, Dialux and ETAP, and a proven ability to coordinate with architects, interior designers and structural engineers on fast-paced, multi-project

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Lead design and coordination of electrical power, lighting, ELV, and fire alarm systems.
• Develop high- and low-level electrical coordination drawings with architects and engineers.
• Coordinate multidisciplinary requirements and resolve drawing clashes.
• Manage multiple projects to ensure timely delivery of coordinated drawings.
• Support design and construction teams with coordination and documentation.

About the role

AEX Architects Exchange is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer to join our engineering team in Davao City, Davao del Sur. This is a full-time office position that plays a crucial strategic role in our organisation, where you will take responsibility for leading electrical engineering projects and driving innovation in electrical and electronic systems design. As a Senior Electrical Engineer, you will be instrumental in shaping our technical direction and ensuring the delivery of high-quality electrical solutions that meet industry standards and client expectations.

Key Responsibilities

1. Design, review, and coordinate electrical systems including power distribution, lighting, ELV, and fire alarm systems in compliance with UAE regulations and client requirements.
2. Design & Develop Electrical high- and low-level coordination drawings in collaboration with Architects, Interior Designers, and Structural Engineers.
3. Coordinate multidisciplinary project requirements and resolve drawing clashes.
4. Manage multiple projects and ensure timely delivery of coordinated drawings.
5. Support design and construction teams through effective coordination and documentation.

What we’re looking for

1. Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related engineering discipline from an accredited institution
2. Professional Engineering (EE) license or equivalent certification in Electrical engineering
3. Minimum 5 years of UAE experience in electrical building services design(preferred).
4. Strong knowledge of DEWA, ADDC/AADC, SEWA, Civil Defense, and relevant local authority codes and standards.
5. Strong collaboration, communication, and organizational skills.
6. Capable of working in fast-paced, multi-project environments.
7. Proficient in AutoCAD, BIM Revit MEP(preferred), Dialux, and ETAP.
8. Strong experienced in electrical load calculations, equipment sizing, technical drawings, and specifications preparation.
9. Understanding of construction standards and LOD100-LOD600 requirements.
10. Familiarity with Autodesk BIM 360, Navisworks, and other AEC collaboration platforms (preferred).
11. Ability to interpret and integrate architectural, structural, and MEP requirements.
