Job summary

AEX Architects Exchange in Davao City, Davao del Sur, is looking for a Mechanical Engineer to join our growing team. Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from an accredited institution.
• Professional Engineering (PE) license or equivalent certification.
• Minimum 5 years UAE/GCC experience in MEP coordination and shop drawings.
• Experience with Engineering Consultants or Contracting Companies.
• Strong knowledge of local codes and standards (Dubai Municipality, DCD, DEWA).
• Proficient with AutoCAD; BIM Revit and collaboration platforms.

• Develop Mechanical high- and low-level coordination drawings for IFC for authority submission and approval.
• Coordinate with Architects, Interior Designers, Electrical Engineers, and Structural Engineers to resolve clashes and ensure design integration.
• Manage multiple projects across residential, hospitality, commercial, office, and villa developments.
• Ensure timely delivery of coordinated drawings and support site execution requirements.

About the role

AEX Architects Exchange is seeking a talented and dedicated Mechanical Engineer to join our growing team in Davao City, Davao del Sur. This is a full-time office position that plays a crucial role in the design, development, and implementation of mechanical systems and solutions for our architectural and engineering projects. As a Mechanical Engineer, you will contribute to innovative projects that shape the built environment, ensuring that mechanical systems are efficient, safe, and aligned with our clients' requirements and industry standards.

Key Responsibilities

1. Prepare and coordinate HVAC, plumbing, firefighting, and drainage shop drawings, detailed layouts, and as-built drawings in accordance with project requirements and UAE standards.
2. Develop Mechanical high- and low-level coordination drawings for IFC for authority submission and approval
3. Coordinate with Architects, Interior Designers, Electrical Engineers, and Structural Engineers to resolve clashes and ensure design integration.
4. Manage multiple projects across residential, hospitality, commercial, office, and villa developments.
5. Ensure timely delivery of coordinated drawings and support site execution requirements.

What we're looking for

1. Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related engineering discipline from an accredited institution
2. Professional Engineering (PE) license or equivalent certification in mechanical engineering
3. Minimum 5 years UAE/GCC experience in MEP coordination, interior fit-out, IFC, and shop drawings (preferred).
4. Experience with Engineering Consultants or Contracting Companies.
5. Strong knowledge of Dubai Municipality, DCD, DEWA, and other relevant local authority codes and standards.
6. Ability to work effectively in fast-paced, multi-project environments.
7. Proficient in AutoCAD, BIM Revit (preferred), and BIM collaboration platforms.
8. Capable of producing coordinated MEP drawings, sections, schedules, and authority submission documents. Thorough understanding of construction drawing standards and LOD100-LOD600 requirements.
9. Familiarity with Autodesk BIM 360, Navisworks, and other AEC collaboration tools (preferred).
10. Strong collaboration, coordination, and technical communication skills.
