Job summary

The Corporate Institute in Philippines is seeking a senior ECM origination lead to drive mandates such as IPOs, QIPs, rights issues, OFS, and other equity-linked instruments. You will focus on client acquisition, investor engagement and building a syndication network while mentoring junior staff.

You will collaborate with the Head – ECM to grow the client franchise, manage relationships, and coordinate with execution teams to ensure smooth handoffs.

Qualifications

• 10–15 years in ECM, investment banking or capital markets with origination experience.
• Established personal network among corporates, promoters, PE/VC investors and institutional counterparties.
• Experience engaging directly with institutional investors and roadshows.
• Familiarity with ECM regulatory frameworks (SEBI ICDR, LODR); hands-on execution/drafting a plus.

Responsibilities

• Originate ECM mandates by building and managing relationships with corporates, promoters, PE/VC investors, family offices and other issuers.
• Identify and pursue new client opportunities across sectors to convert relationships into live mandates for IPOs, QIPs, rights issues, OFS and other equity instruments.
• Lead client-facing engagement through the transaction lifecycle – pitching, mandate negotiation and relationship stewardship.
• Drive syndication and investor placement strategy, including anchor investor identification and book-building coordination.
• Build and maintain an active network of institutional investors, mutual funds, FPIs, family offices and PE/VC funds through meetings and roadshows.
• Represent the firm at investor and industry meetings to build market visibility and deal flow.
• Prepare pitch books, market positioning and transaction rationale for prospective clients and internal reviews.
• Track primary market trends and competitor deal flow to sharpen origination strategy.
• Coordinate with execution teams as needed for smooth handoff of deals.
• Mentor AVP/DVP-level team member on origination and client engagement.
• Support Head – ECM in pipeline reviews, MIS and business planning for the ECM vertical.
