Job summary
Arcadis Global Excellence Centre in Manila, Philippines, is seeking a Principal Engineer to lead technical delivery for Australian highways projects. The role involves managing complex tasks, coordinating multi-disciplinary teams, and ensuring compliance with international and national standards.
The ideal candidate has 7–15 years of drainage design experience, strong English, and proficiency with design software (12D, HEC-RAS, MUSIC, Storm & Sanitary, AutoCAD).
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or equivalent and licensed as professional engineer.
- Excellent written and oral English language.
- 7–15 years of relevant professional experience.
- Strong drainage design experience aligned with Australian standards and NSW Roads/Maritime standards; RMS experience valued.
- Proficient in design software such as 12D, Storm & Sanitary, HEC-RAS, MUSIC.
- Knowledge of AutoCAD or similar.
- Local or Expatriate preference.
Responsibilities
- Manage technical aspects of large/complex tasks within projects, meeting financial, quality, timeframe and safety goals.
- Lead delivery of elements of larger projects in line with Arcadis management systems.
- Coordinate and manage teams of engineers and technicians within a single discipline.
- Provide technical leadership and guidance to team members to support project delivery.
- Ensure design work and reports meet Arcadis requirements and national codes.
- Support commercial and program management within the business unit.
