Job summary

Commvault is seeking a Senior Engineer-DevOps to join the Hyperscale (HSX) Engineering team in Bangalore, Hyderabad, and Pune. You will design automation, build IaC, and deploy across Linux, virtualization, containers, and cloud platforms, collaborating with multiple teams to deliver scalable, reliable solutions.

Ideal candidates bring 4+ years of DevOps experience, strong Python and Shell skills, and hands-on Ansible expertise.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• 4+ years of DevOps experience with Python and Shell scripting.
• Hands-on with Ansible and configuration management.
• Strong Linux, networking, and distributed system knowledge.
• Experience with VMware/Hyper-V virtualization and cloud basics.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain automation for Hyperscale environments.
• Build reusable Ansible roles, modules, and playbooks.
• Automate deployment/configuration of HAProxy, clustering, and monitoring.
• Develop IaC for development/test environments.
• Work with Docker, Kubernetes, and OpenShift across OS/hardware combos.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve complex issues.
• Read and update C++/XML code as needed; enable faster delivery.
• Use Git-based workflows for source control and releases.
