Job summary

Extinguished, Inc. is seeking a Senior Design & Estimate Engineer to prepare engineering designs, cost estimates, and BOQs for fire protection, fire suppression, and security projects.

The role involves reviewing drawings, performing site inspections, and coordinating with clients and contractors. The ideal candidate is a Licensed Mechanical Engineer with 3–5 years of relevant experience, familiar with FDAS, sprinklers, pumps, CCTV, and access control systems.

Qualifications

• Licensed Mechanical Engineer (ME) with relevant design/estimation experience.
• 3–5 years in engineering design and estimation.
• Experience with fire protection and fire suppression systems is highly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed engineering designs, plans, estimates, BOQs, and technical proposals.
• Prepare accurate material take-offs and cost estimates.
• Design and estimate fire protection and fire suppression systems.
• Work with FDAS, sprinkler systems, fire pumps, and clean agent systems.
• Prepare designs and estimates for CCTV and Access Control.
• Review drawings and specifications for compliance.
• Conduct site inspections and assessments when required.
• Coordinate with clients, contractors, suppliers, and internal teams.
• Review project specs to meet standards and requirements.
• Provide technical support during implementation and bidding.
• Assist in value engineering and cost optimization.

Job description

Extinguished, Inc. is looking for an experienced Senior Design & Estimate Engineer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing engineering designs, cost estimates, technical proposals, and material take-offs for fire protection, fire suppression, and security system projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed engineering designs, plans, estimates, BOQs, and technical proposals.

• Prepare accurate material take-offs and cost estimates based on project plans and specifications.

• Design and estimate fire protection and fire suppression systems.

• Work with Fire Detection and Alarm Systems (FDAS), sprinkler systems, fire pumps, and clean agent systems.

• Prepare designs and estimates for CCTV and Access Control Systems.

• Review architectural, mechanical, electrical, and other relevant project drawings and specifications.

• Conduct site inspections and assessments when required.

• Coordinate with clients, contractors, suppliers, and internal project teams regarding technical and commercial requirements.

• Review project specifications and ensure designs and estimates meet applicable standards and project requirements.

• Provide technical support and clarification during project implementation and bidding.

• Assist in value engineering and cost optimization when appropriate.

• Able to work independently and manage multiple projects and deadlines.
