About the Company: We are looking for a Senior Fire Protection Engineer to join our team and play a key role in leading and mentoring local engineers. Our client is a well-established, family‑owned business specializing in the design, installation, and maintenance of fire sprinkler systems. Technical Responsibilities
- Prepare and design fire sprinkler systems, developing plans from conceptual designs to detailed installation and inspection documentation.
- Perform hydraulic calculations using AutoSprink or equivalent software and translate results into precise fabrication drawings and material specifications.
- Ensure all required materials, including hangers and accessories, are accurately documented and processed in the ERP system, maintaining comprehensive and up‑to‑date project records.
- Maintain expertise in international sprinkler standards (NFPA, FM, EN) and apply them effectively in project execution.
- Oversee design and concept reviews, ensuring the delivery of technically excellent, fully compliant, and client‑ready fire protection solutions.
- Lead technical coordination with the project managers and clients, overseeing design reviews and concept optimization to guarantee the delivery of top‑quality, compliant, and cost‑efficient fire protection solutions.
- Provide technical and hydraulic analysis in support of project managers and the sales team.
- Develop and implement solutions to automate and optimize recurring processes and workload.
Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.
- At least 8 to 10 years of extensive experience in Fire protection.
- Strong technical foundation in fire protection engineering with proficiency in sprinkler standards (NFPA, FM, EN).
- Proficiency in hydraulic calculation software (e.g., AutoSprink) and design/modeling software such as AutoCAD 2D/3D, Plant3D, or Revit.
- Excellent communication and coordination skills for working across international teams.
- Proven leadership experience in mentoring and developing teams, with the ability to take initiative and work independently while aligning with the Belgian office.
- Highly motivated to thrive in an international work environment.
