Alfamart Trading Philippines, Inc. is seeking a Senior Design & Construction Manager to oversee all design, construction, and facility management activities for Alfamart stores in the Philippines.

You will lead a team across design, construction, and building administration, ensuring projects meet quality, budget, and schedule targets. The role requires strategic oversight, strong leadership, and in-depth knowledge of construction processes, codes, and safety standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor-level degree in Civil Engineering or Architecture, Construction Management, or related field.
• PRC License is required.

Responsibilities

• Lead and oversee design and construction of stores, expansions and renovations.
• Maintain facilities to high standards and ensure safety compliance.

Who are we looking for:

As aSenior Design & Construction Manager,oversees all aspects of design, construction, and facility management for Alfamart Trading Philippines. Responsible for managing the design process, ensuring efficient construction project delivery, and maintaining the company's facilities to the highest standards. Leading a team involved in construction, design, and building administration, ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and according to regulatory and safety requirements. Responsible for implementing strategic initiatives to improve operational efficiency in both construction and building management.

• Lead and oversee the design and construction of new stores, expansion and renovations, ensuring alignment with Alfamart's strategic goals and brand standards.

• Supervise the Building Administration Department to ensure the efficient operation maintenance, and safety of all Alfamart facilities.

• Manage all phases of construction projects from concept design through planning, budgeting, procurement, and execution, ensuring they are completed on time and within budget.

• Manage architects, engineers, contractors, and vendors to ensure quality design and construction standards are met.

• Monitor project progress, conduct regular visits to ensure adherence to design specifications, quality standards, and safety regulations.

• Develop and manage project budgets, approve expenditures, and ensures cost-effective procurement of materials and services.

• Work closely with internal departments such as Operations, Accounting, and Merchandising to ensure alignment between design, construction, and operational requirements.

• Prepare reports on projects progress, building maintenace, and departmental perfomance for management review.

• Provide leadership ande mentoring to the construction and building administration teams, fostering a collaborative and efficient work environment.

• Resolve any design, contruction, or facility-related issues in a timely and effective manner, ensuring minimal disruption to operations.

What does it take to be part of the team?

• Bachelor Degree in Civil Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management or in a related field.

• Minimum of 8 - 10 years of experience in construction management, design, and facility administration, preferably within retail or commercial sector.

• PRC License is required.

• Strong leadership skills with proven experience in managing large construction and building administration teams.

• Extensive knowledge of construction processes, building systems, design principles, and project management best practices.

• Excellent communication and negotiation skills working with contractors, vendors and internal stakeholders.

• Strong problem-solving and decision-making with the ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.

• In-depth knowledge of local building codes, safety regulations, environmental standards, and construction best practices.

• Strong financial management skills, including budgeting, forecasting, and cost control.

• Ability to manage high-pressure situations, resolve conflicts, and meet tight deadlines.

• Strong attention to detail and organization skills for ensuring the timely and accurate completion of construction projects and building maintenance.
