Job summary

AMCS Group in Cebu City is seeking a Senior Cyber Security Engineer to strengthen the security of our enterprise environment. You will design, implement, operate, and continuously improve security controls across cloud, identity, endpoint, network and business applications.

The role is hands-on, requiring strong technical judgement, incident leadership, and collaboration with IT, engineering, risk and business teams.

Qualifications

• Typically 5+ years of experience in cyber security engineering or related field.
• Experience implementing enterprise security technologies in complex environments.
• Strong knowledge of cloud security, Azure identity and logging.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain security controls across cloud, identity, endpoint, network, email, and SaaS environments.
• Lead technical investigation, containment, remediation, and post-incident review for security events.
• Engineer and optimise security platforms including SIEM, EDR/XDR, vulnerability management, and cloud-native security tooling.
• Develop detection rules, automation, playbooks, dashboards, and security metrics.
• Conduct vulnerability assessments and prioritise remediation with system owners.
• Review designs for security risks and advise on practical controls.
• Support IAM, Zero Trust, and least-privilege initiatives.
• Contribute to security architecture, standards, and technical documentation.
• Collaborate with third parties and stakeholders to assess risks and validate remediation.
• Mentor engineers and analysts and promote secure engineering practices.
• Participate in on-call or incident escalation as required.
