Job summary

Asaba Manufacturing Phils., Inc is seeking a seasoned Cost Accountant to lead cost analysis across product and manufacturing costs in Laguna/Calamba. You will prepare cost calculations, monitor variances, and produce management reports to support budgeting and decision-making.

The role requires at least five years in cost accounting in manufacturing, strong Excel skills, and familiarity with ERP systems. A CPA or related certification is advantageous and will be valued by the finance team.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting/finance.
• At least 5 years experience in cost accounting, preferably in manufacturing.
• Strong knowledge of cost accounting, inventory accounting, BOM, standard costing.
• Proficient in Excel including PivotTables.
• Experience with ERP/accounting systems.
• CPA license or relevant certification is an advantage.
• Strong analytical, numerical, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work cross-functionally and meet monthly closing deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and analyze product and manufacturing cost calculations, including material, labor, and overhead.
• Monitor and analyze actual vs. standard costs and investigate variances.
• Prepare monthly cost accounting reports, variance analysis, and management reports.
• Maintain standard costs, cost sheets, and BOM.
• Analyze manufacturing costs and identify cost reduction and process improvements.
• Perform inventory valuation and reconciliation for raw materials, WIP, and finished goods.
• Coordinate with Production, Purchasing, Engineering, Finance and other departments.
• Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning.
• Assist in month-end and year-end closing for cost accounting and inventory.
• Review expenses and ensure proper cost allocation and accounting treatment.
• Prepare schedules and documentation for internal and external audits.
• Ensure compliance with accounting policies and standards.
• Provide financial and cost analysis to management for business decisions.
