MicroSourcing is seeking a Senior Controller in a fully remote role based in the Philippines. You will lead the accounting function, oversee financial reporting, internal controls, and audits, and report directly to ownership.

The candidate will manage an Accounting Manager with extensive experience, ensure timely financial closes, and drive process improvements in a manufacturing-oriented operation.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of progressive accounting experience in senior leadership roles.
• Previous title of Controller or equivalent seniority.
• Master’s degree in Accounting required.
• Strong manufacturing/inventory-based accounting experience preferred.
• Experience with financial reporting, GL, internal controls, cost accounting, audits, and close processes.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day‑to‑day accounting operations and month‑end/year‑end closes.
• Manage the Accounting Manager and lead financial reporting to ownership.
• Coordinate internal controls, audits, and regulatory compliance.
• Drive process improvements and budgeting/forecasting activities.

Your Role

We are seeking an experienced Senior Controller to serve as the senior‑most accounting leader in our growing manufacturing organization. This individual will oversee the company's accounting function, financial reporting, internal controls, audit coordination, and provide direct financial leadership and reporting to ownership.

This high‑responsibility leadership role requires strong technical accounting expertise, leadership maturity, professionalism, and executive‑level communication skills. The ideal candidate will effectively manage and collaborate with an Accounting Manager with over 20 years of experience.

The position is fully remote and based in the Philippines.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee all day‑to‑day accounting operations, including:
  • General ledger management
  • Month‑end and year‑end close
  • Financial statement preparation
  • Account reconciliations
  • AP/AR oversight
  • Fixed assets
  • Inventory accounting
  • Cost accounting and manufacturing accounting functions
• Directly manage and oversee the Accounting Manager.
• Serve as the primary accounting lead reporting directly to ownership.
• Lead all financial audit preparation and coordination with external auditors, CPA firms, banks, insurance providers, and regulatory agencies.
• Establish and maintain strong internal controls and accounting procedures.
• Ensure accuracy, integrity, and timeliness of all financial reporting.
• Assist ownership with budgeting, forecasting, financial analysis, and cash management.
• Drive accounting process improvements and operational efficiencies.
• Maintain compliance with all applicable accounting standards, tax requirements, and company policies.

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 10+ years of progressive accounting experience in senior accounting leadership roles.
• Previous title of Controller or a position of equal or greater seniority/responsibility.
• Master’s degree in Accounting required.
• Strong manufacturing and/or inventory‑based accounting experience preferred.
• Extensive experience with:
  • Financial reporting

• Demonstrated experience managing senior‑level accounting personnel.
