Job summary

EC Calderon Construction Development Inc. is seeking an experienced Purchasing/Procurement professional to source reliable suppliers for construction materials, equipment, and tools. You will manage quotations, negotiate terms, and process purchase orders on-site at Cebu location.

The ideal candidate has at least 5 years in procurement, a degree in business or related fields, and strong negotiation, supplier management, and Excel skills to maintain precise purchasing records.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Engineering, or a related field.
• At least 5 years of experience in purchasing, procurement, or supply chain operations.
• Experience in construction, engineering, industrial, manufacturing, or a related field is strongly preferred.
• Familiarity with construction materials, equipment, tools, and technical supplies is an advantage.
• Strong negotiation and supplier management skills.
• Good understanding of quotations, purchase orders, delivery schedules, and procurement documentation.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Word.

Responsibilities

• Source and evaluate reliable suppliers for construction materials, equipment, tools, and other requirements.
• Request and compare quotations to ensure competitive pricing and suitable quality.
• Negotiate prices, payment terms, delivery schedules, and other purchasing conditions with suppliers.
• Prepare and process purchase orders and other procurement documents.
• Coordinate with project/site teams, engineers, warehouse, accounting, and management regarding purchasing requirements.
• Monitor orders and ensure materials and equipment are delivered according to the required schedule.
• Maintain an updated database of suppliers, prices, quotations, and purchasing records.
• Verify specifications, quantities, and quality requirements before purchasing.
• Develop and maintain good working relationships with suppliers and contractors.
• Monitor market prices and identify opportunities to reduce procurement costs.
• Follow company purchasing procedures, approval processes, and budget requirements.
• Assist in resolving issues involving delayed deliveries, incorrect materials, damaged items, or supplier concerns.
• Ensure proper documentation and filing of purchasing transactions.
• Perform other purchasing and procurement-related duties as assigned by management.
