Job summary

BruntWork is seeking a Senior Construction Bookkeeper (QuickBooks) with 3+ years of experience managing multiple clients to ensure precise financial records and effective accounting workflows. This hybrid role combines coaching and hands-on problem-solving within a growing team.

You will lead month-end reviews, manage AR/AP, and develop SOPs, while mentoring staff and aligning processes with construction industry practices.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience managing multiple clients in QuickBooks Online.
• Minimum of 3 years of accounting and bookkeeping experience.
• Holds a QuickBooks Online Certification (Advanced a plus).
• Strong knowledge of cash vs. accrual accounting.
• Construction industry accounting experience is a bonus.
• Fluent English communication and reliable home office setup.

Responsibilities

• Review bookkeeping at month-end and daily, coaching team members.
• Manage accounts receivable and accounts payable.
• Prepare and review sales and excise tax filings.
• Create SOPs and video training content.
• Lead trainings to build technical and client-facing skills.
• Mentor bookkeepers and review financial statements.
• Serve as a trusted contact for high-value clients.
• Ensure smooth onboarding for new clients.
• Improve processes, workflows, and client experience.
• Handle construction job costing and construction accounting tasks.
• Process sales tax and payroll for multiple clients.
• Maintain accurate records in QuickBooks Online.
