Our client is seeking a detail-oriented, QBO-certified professional—ideally with strong cash vs. accrual knowledge and construction industry experience—to elevate financial operations. In this hybrid role of coach and problem-solver, you will review bookkeeping, resolve discrepancies, and build SOPs to mentor growing team members. Schedule:
Full-time, Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM Pacific Time, with a 1-hour unpaid break (40 work hours per week)
Responsibilities:
Review bookkeeping work at month-end and daily as needed, coaching and guiding team members.
Manage accounts receivable (invoicing) and accounts payable (bill payments).
Prepare and review sales and excise tax filings.
Assist with cleanups/catch-ups and set up standardized processes along the way.
Create SOPs and video training content.
Lead trainings to build both technical and client-facing skills across the team.
Support and mentor bookkeepers while reviewing financial statements (Balance Sheet, Income Statement, etc.).
Serve as a trusted point of contact for complex or high-value clients.
Ensure smooth onboarding for new clients.
Identify ways to improve processes, team workflows, and client experience.
Maintain a positive, problem-solving attitude during high-volume periods.
Perform bookkeeping and accounting tasks for construction industry clients, including job costing and specialized construction accounting.
Process sales tax and payroll for multiple clients.
Maintain accurate financial records using QuickBooks Online.
Access and manage client financial data and bank accounts.
Work collaboratively with the US-based team during Pacific Time business hours.
Requirements:
3+ years of experience managing multiple clients in QuickBooks Online (QBO).
Minimum of 3 years of accounting and bookkeeping experience.
Holds a QuickBooks Online Certification (QuickBooks Online Advanced Certification is a plus).
Strong knowledge of cash vs. accrual accounting.
Experience with construction industry accounting is a bonus.
Excellent attention to detail, communication, and follow-through.
A reliable computer, webcam, and second monitor setup.
Willingness to use client IT support setups and security software.
Fast, stable internet and a quiet workspace for client and team calls.
Fluent English communication skills (written and verbal).
Comfortable working assigned shift hours (8:00 AM - 5:00 PM Pacific Time).
Ability to handle sensitive financial data with strict confidentiality.
