Optum is seeking an experienced Operations Leader to drive strategic direction across Financial Clearance teams within the healthcare revenue cycle. The role focuses on achieving operational goals, client satisfaction, and strong governance.

You will oversee daily operations, manage budgets and staffing, and mentor leaders to build a high-performing organization while ensuring compliance and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of healthcare Revenue Cycle experience or Healthcare account experience
• 3+ years of operations leadership experience
• Experience managing Supervisors and SMEs
• Experience managing operational and client performance metrics
• Strong understanding of: Financial Clearance, Prior Authorization, Patient Access Operations, Revenue Cycle Management, Healthcare Payer Requirements
• Proven advanced analytical and stakeholder management skills

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic leadership across Financial Clearance teams to meet goals
• Oversee daily operations, ensuring productivity, quality, compliance, and metrics
• Serve as primary client contact, aligning with expectations and contracts
• Drive client satisfaction through proactive communication and issue resolution
• Manage financial performance: budgets, forecasting, staffing, cost-saving opportunities
• Lead workforce planning to support growth and efficiency
• Develop, coach, and mentor leaders to build a high-performing team
• Ensure governance, regulatory adherence and policy compliance
• Monitor risks and implement corrective actions for quality
• Drive continuous improvement with data-driven solutions
• Collaborate cross-functionally to standardize processes and excellence
• Manage escalations to resolve complex issues
• Prepare operational and financial reports for leadership and clients
