Job summary

Manulife is seeking a Senior Cloud Security Manager to lead the security strategy for cloud-native platforms within our Global Tech team. You’ll guide access controls, automate security workflows, and work with North America and Asia teams to drive secure, scalable solutions.

The role requires deep expertise in cloud platforms, IAM, and automation, with a strong ability to communicate across regions. Hybrid work and flexible scheduling are available to support delivery.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology or equivalent.
• 5+ years of cloud engineering, platform engineering, DevOps, or cloud security engineering roles.
• Strong understanding of cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/AliCloud) including IAM/RBAC and infra patterns.
• Automation-focused; writes scripts and automates tasks.

Responsibilities

• Act as SME in access control and cloud-native patterns (least privilege, RBAC).
• Own intake channels for access requests and exceptions across automated and manual paths.
• Lead automated access review rollout and advocate standard access model.
• Drive adoption across engineering teams and align with CI/CD workflows.
• Define rollout strategy and monitor impact, transitioning to enforcement when adoption stabilizes.
• Collaborate with platform engineers to balance security with operability.
• Define and track adoption and automation success metrics.
• Handle exceptions post-adoption with rationale and traceability.
