Job summary

Manulife is seeking a Senior DevOps Engineer to join the Information Systems – Platform-as-a-Service team in the Philippines. You will build, support, and automate data and analytics platforms, focusing on cloud automation, IaC, and monitoring.

The role requires 5+ years in large tech implementations, Terraform and Azure IaC, and experience with CI/CD pipelines. Hybrid work (3x onsite) at UP Ayala Technohub, QC, and occasional night shifts are expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field.
• Minimum 5+ years of experience leading large technology implementations.
• Experience with Terraform and IaC programming.
• Hands-on experience with Azure Cloud IaaS and PaaS & ITSM.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, Jenkins, etc.).
• Knowledge of networking (TCP/IP, DNS, routing, switching, firewalls).
• Willing to work at UP Ayala Technohub, QC and in a hybrid setup (3x onsite).
• Willingness to work fixed night shift.

Responsibilities

• Develop and build cloud automation workflows and support cloud blueprinting.
• Automate platform maintenance, updates, security enhancements, and admin tasks.
• Support provisioning and configuration management; assist architecture team.
• Improve monitoring/logging and standardize runbooks for BAU tasks.
• Create and maintain operational documentation and scripts for 7x24 support.
• Plan capacity and changes; report to management as needed.
