Job summary

Anonymous is seeking a highly experienced Civil/Structural QA/QC Engineer with Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) project exposure to oversee quality assurance and control throughout the project lifecycle.

You will collaborate with engineering, construction, commissioning, and project management teams to ensure compliance with drawings, specs, and standards, and to drive NCRs, testing, documentation, and handover readiness for safe, high-quality BESS facilities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering.
• PRC Civil Engineer license preferred.
• 8–10 years in QA/QC, construction supervision, or civil/structural engineering.
• 3–5 years in Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) or renewable energy projects.
• Strong knowledge of QA/QC principles, inspection processes, material testing requirements, and quality management systems.
• Familiarity with international and local codes, standards, and specs for civil/structural works.
• Experience reviewing ITPs, method statements, material submittals, and quality documentation.
• Proven experience managing NCRs, corrective actions, root cause analyses, and quality audits.
• Excellent communication, coordination, documentation, and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and monitor project QA/QC plans, ITPs, procedures, and quality docs.
• Review drawings, specs, method statements, material submittals, and quality records.
• Conduct inspections and audits of civil and structural works (foundations, pads, retaining structures, trenches, drainage, roads, facilities).
• Verify construction activities comply with approved drawings, standards, specs, and quality procedures.
• Coordinate and witness material testing (soil, concrete, reinforcing steel).
• Monitor contractor/subcontractor compliance with quality standards.
• Identify non-conformances and issue NCRs with corrective actions.
• Maintain quality records and documentation of inspections, tests, punch lists, reports.
• Participate in project meetings and report on quality performance and risks.
• Conduct site surveillance and quality audits.
• Support commissioning and handover with complete quality documentation.
• Collaborate to improve quality performance and construction execution.
• Ensure compliance with local regulations, engineering standards, and health and safety requirements.
