Job summary

GHD is seeking a Senior Civil Designer to lead detailed civil designs and drawings for civil infrastructure projects. You will review outputs, resolve design issues, and drive improvements to enhance constructability and functionality.

You will mentor junior designers, collaborate with project managers and engineers, and contribute to a culture of quality and continuous improvement in a hybrid work environment.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as Senior Civil Designer for civil infrastructure projects.
• Strong civil design and drafting capabilities with guidance on best practices.
• Ability to mentor and coach junior designers and drafters.
• Collaborates effectively with project managers, engineers, and multidisciplinary teams.
• Proactive mindset focused on quality and constructability.

• Lead the preparation of detailed civil designs and drawings using CAD tools, ensuring accuracy, quality, and compliance with project requirements and standards.
• Review and coordinate design outputs, incorporating required design features and resolving design issues as they arise.
• Contribute to and drive design improvements that enhance constructability, functionality, and overall project outcomes.
• Support and guide junior designers and drafters as required.
