Executive recruitment company Monroe Consulting Group Philippines is partnering with an organisation in the Information Technology sector to hire a Senior Business Applications Specialist. This opportunity is based in a remote work environment, supporting clients during North American business hours.
Position Overview
Support and optimise Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central environments for a diverse client portfolio, resolving complex functional and application-related issues. Play a key role in client success by delivering expert support, mentoring team members, and contributing to implementation, enhancement, and growth initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Case resolution. Own cases end to end within Service Level Agreements: first response per the client's support package, client updates at least every two business days while company holds the next action, and complete documentation of findings, root cause, and resolution.
- Functional depth. Resolve issues across Financial Management, Sales, Purchasing, and Inventory and the extended modules (Manufacturing, Service, Warehouse, Projects, Assembly, intercompany): configuration and posting errors, stuck transactions, period-end and year-end close, permissions, report and document output, workflows and approvals, job queues, multi-currency, and update regressions. Reproduce in a sandbox first; correct data only through supported methods.
- Extensions and apps. Resolve issues involving per-tenant extensions, ISV applications (for example Continia, Jet Reports, Insight Works), and company proprietary apps without assistance; isolate the fault and engage the development team, the Emerging Technologies team, or the ISV as required.
- Escalation point. Take over or co-work cases escalated by colleagues; resolve issues escalated by peers or management independently; elevate to the Team Lead or Support Manager only for risk beyond the role's authority.
- Client diagnostics and communication. Conduct diagnostic meetings without assistance, including executive-level sessions and paid assessments. Communicate in clear, complete, professional English; distinguish break-fix from how-to and advisory requests; flag out-of-scope work before billable time accumulates.
- Implementation and work orders. Assist during implementations, upgrades, and migrations, and lead the functional side of smaller work orders: configuration, data loading, testing, UAT, training, and hypercare. Write functional specifications and confirm written client approval of estimates before development proceeds.
- Mentoring. Pair with BASs on cases, review their client communication and case documentation, and identify training that supports their development.
- Billing and commercial awareness. Enter time daily and accurately; work within each client's support, never exceed an approved budget without written approval; identify and recommend enhancement, training, and add-on opportunities; meet the annual utilisation target.
- Microsoft support. Follow the escalation protocol (internal resolution first, known issues and service health, clean-sandbox reproduction, documented rule-outs), approve BAS requests to open Microsoft cases, record the Microsoft case number on the internal case, and manage requests to closure with correct classification.
- Development and compliance. Maintain MB-800 through annual renewal, stay current with release waves and deprecations, use the team's AI-assisted tools while remaining accountable for accuracy, and follow security practices.
