OPTIMAL is seeking a Senior Bookkeeper to manage full-cycle bookkeeping for multiple clients with strict accuracy and timely delivery. You will handle management fees, owner distributions, and property-management workflows while performing quality reviews and data migrations.

You will use QuickBooks Online, AppFolio, and Buildium, ensuring GAAP compliance and strong analytical insights. A collaborative mentor role with minimal supervision awaits in a dynamic team.

Qualifications

• 3–5+ years of U.S. bookkeeping or accounting experience across multiple clients.
• Strong proficiency in QuickBooks Online, MS Excel, and Google Sheets.
• Experience with property management systems (e.g., AppFolio, Buildium).
• GAAP knowledge and full-cycle bookkeeping experience.

Responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end bookkeeping for multiple clients using QuickBooks Online and other platforms.
• Perform quality review of financial statements before fees or distributions.
• Lead data clean-up and migration projects; assist with onboarding and migration.
• Calculate monthly management fees and process owner distributions; reconcile accounts.
• Execute month-end close and generate P&L, Balance Sheet, and Cash Flow statements.
• Handle payroll-related tasks and ensure compliance with US payroll requirements.
• Communicate with clients and provide actionable financial insights.
• Mentor junior bookkeepers and suggest process improvements.
