Job summary

Freedive Academy in Panglao, Bohol, Philippines, is seeking an experienced Senior Bookkeeper to lead day-to-day accounting across multiple brands. You will maintain accurate records, support payroll coordination, and help management make data-driven decisions in a fast-growing, entrepreneurial environment.

You will collaborate with management and the accounting officer to strengthen internal controls, implement dashboards, and deliver reliable financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• Experience in bookkeeping or financial operations.
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting.
• Experience with QuickBooks or Xero preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day bookkeeping and accounting operations across multiple business units
• Maintain accurate records for accounts payable, accounts receivable, reconciliations, and general ledger entries
• Support financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and operational analysis
• Coordinate closely with the payroll and accounting officer to ensure accurate payroll and compliance reporting
• Help improve financial workflows, reporting systems, and internal processes
• Monitor financial data and identify trends, inconsistencies, or opportunities for improvement
• Support the implementation of financial dashboards, KPIs, and data-driven reporting tools
• Ensure compliance with financial regulations, tax requirements, and internal company procedures
• Assist management with financial planning and operational decision-making
• Help strengthen internal controls and maintain organized financial documentation
• Support and guide junior finance staff as the department continues to grow

Requirements

• High attention to detail and strong organizational skills
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilitiesAbility to work independently and manage multiple priorities effectively
• Professional communication skills and the ability to collaborate across departments
• Comfortable working in a dynamic and growing business environment
• Leadership experience or supervisory experience is an advantage
• Applicants must be legally eligible to work in the Philippines
• This position is currently open to Filipino applicants only
• Applicants based in Panglao, Dauis, Tagbilaran, or willing to relocate are preferred
