Job summary

Citi is seeking a Senior Application Support Analyst to ensure stability and optimal performance of core business applications. The role requires deep expertise in Unix/Linux, SQL, Big Data/EAP environments, and ITIL incident and problem management.

Qualifications

• Big Data & EAP environments with Hadoop, Hive, Spark, YARN, Kafka expertise.
• Autosys experience including run-time overrides and JIL configurations.
• Unix/Linux administration and shell scripting for production support.
• SQL querying for Oracle/Sybase/MS SQL Server and data validation.
• ITRS Geneos experience for real-time monitoring and alerting.
• Automation focus to reduce toil via Python, Bash, or PowerShell scripts.
• Incident and Problem Management in ITIL framework with ServiceNow logging.

Responsibilities

• Provide L2/L3 support for Big Data platforms and Citi’s EAP environment.
• Troubleshoot data pipelines and distributed processing failures (Spark, Hadoop).
• Monitor cluster resources and troubleshoot memory bottlenecks.
• Query and validate large datasets in distributed data stores (HDFS, Hive, Impala).
• Manage real-time messaging with Kafka; oversee consumer groups and offsets.
• Oversee Autosys batch scheduling; diagnose and resolve job failures.
• Develop automation to reduce manual toil and improve MTTR.
• Lead incident triage and root-cause analysis; document PIRs.
