Avaloq in the Philippines seeks a backend engineer to design and implement high-performance solutions on the Avaloq/Oracle stack, delivering end-to-end results from specification to production while collaborating with business analysts.

You will optimize SQL/PL-SQL, ensure proper multi-layer implementation, and drive automation, reliability, and maintainability in a production‑critical, SLA‑driven environment. Hybrid work and flexible arrangements support work-life balance.

Qualifications

• Strong hands-on experience with PL/SQL, Oracle DB and backend engineering.
• Experience with Avaloq Script or similar core banking platforms.
• Proven ability to deliver in SLA-driven, production-critical environments.
• Strong capability in performance tuning and system integration.
• Ability to work across complex financial/accounting logic.
• Ownership mindset with focus on delivery reliability and maintainability.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement high-performance backend solutions in Avaloq / Oracle stack
• Deliver end-to-end execution from specification to production
• Build scalable, reusable components across accounting modules
• Optimize SQL / PL-SQL performance and system integration
• Ensure correct implementation across layers (Kernel / Baseline / Client)
• Proactively resolve defects with focus on root-cause elimination
• Drive automation, testability, and engineering standards
• Collaborate with BAs to ensure smooth translation from requirement → execution
