Job summary

Avaloq AG is seeking a backend engineer to design and implement high-performance solutions within the Avaloq / Oracle stack in Metro Manila. You will drive end-to-end execution from specification to production, building scalable components across accounting modules and focusing on performance and reliability.

You will optimize SQL/PL-SQL, ensure proper cross-layer implementation, and proactively resolve defects while advancing automation, testing, and engineering standards.

Qualifications

• Experience designing backend systems.
• Strong SQL optimization and database tuning.
• Ability to translate requirements into scalable solutions.
• Familiarity with Oracle stack and PL/SQL.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement high-performance backend solutions in Avaloq / Oracle stack.
• Deliver end-to-end execution from specification to production.
• Build scalable, reusable components across accounting modules.
• Optimize SQL / PL-SQL performance and system integration.
• Ensure correct implementation across layers (Kernel / Baseline / Client).
• Proactively resolve defects with focus on root-cause elimination.
• Drive automation, testability, and engineering standards.
• Collaborate with BAs to ensure smooth translation from requirement → execution.
