Job summary

Avaloq is seeking a Software Engineer for its Securities Operations team to help develop and maintain software across the Securities Trading, Transaction Reporting, Securities Settlement, Reconciliation and Corporate Actions modules. You will work with PL/SQL and Avaloq Script, collaborating closely with clients and cross‑functional teams in an agile environment.

You will design, implement and test robust solutions, participate in requirement analysis, and contribute to continuous improvement

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of relevant software development experience.
• Good knowledge of database technologies (SQL, Oracle PL/SQL).
• Knowledge of Java; Python or C++ is a plus.
• Ability to learn business needs and deliver clean, high‑quality code.
• Strong analytical mind and autonomous problem solving.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Team Lead, Product Owner, BAs and other engineers.
• Design solution concepts and have them reviewed by leads/architects.
• Participate in client workshops and assist requirements analysis.
• Develop and maintain solutions within the team scope.
• Improve, optimize and maintain existing functionalities.
• Develop automated tests and ensure quality assurance.
