Job summary

Maya is hiring a Level 4 Software Engineer for the Partner Marketing Solutions team. You will own backend features end-to-end, working with Product, QE, and SRE to deliver reliable ad experiences for millions of Maya users.

Role requires strong Java/Spring Boot, relational DBs, and experience with microservices. You will collaborate across squads, refine requirements, and ensure scalable, compliant solutions across platforms.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of professional software engineering experience with a strong backend focus.
• Deep proficiency in Java and Spring Boot for microservices.
• Experience with relational databases and ORM tools (JPA, Hibernate).
• Experience with microservice and event-driven architectures (Kafka, SQS).
• Cloud/delivery tooling and containerization (AWS, Docker, CI/CD).
• Familiarity with mobile/Web SDK development is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Build & operate high-traffic backend and platform services and SDK components across Flutter, Android, iOS, and Web.
• Translate requirements into software by refining user stories and estimates.
• Design interactions across PMS squads and integrate with Maya apps and data platforms.
• Uphold code quality with automated tests and reviews.
• Support delivery and reliability with CI/CD and incident response.
• Modernize codebases and drive SDK release governance and parity.
