Role requires strong Java/Spring Boot, relational DBs, and experience with microservices. You will collaborate across squads, refine requirements, and ensure scalable, compliant solutions across platforms.

Qualificações

• 8+ years of professional software engineering experience with a strong backend focus.
• Deep proficiency in Java and Spring Boot for microservices.
• Experience with relational databases and ORM tools (JPA, Hibernate).
• Experience with microservice and event-driven architectures (Kafka, SQS).
• Cloud/delivery tooling and containerization (AWS, Docker, CI/CD).
• Familiarity with mobile/Web SDK development is a plus.

CORE PROFILE

We are looking for a Level 4 Software Engineer to join the Partner Marketing Solutions (PMS) team, which builds and maintains the systems that help Maya monetize through partner advertising and grow audiences with targeted campaigns across consumer, enterprise, and partner surfaces. The team owns campaign configuration, inventory and placement logic, audience and user‑tag integration, and the services that orchestrate ad delivery, telemetry, and partner integrations. You will own features end to end and work with Product, QE, and SRE to ship reliable, scalable ad experiences for millions of Maya users every day.

NATURE OF WORK

In This Role, You Will

• Build & operate services — Design, develop, deploy, and maintain high‑traffic backend and platform services and client SDK components (across Flutter, Android, iOS, and Web), ensuring ad delivery runs reliably in production.
• Translate requirements into software — Work closely with the Product Owner and team to refine user stories, provide accurate estimates, and turn campaign, inventory, targeting, and ad‑format requirements into working, well‑designed software.
• Design across teams & systems — Design and coordinate interactions across PMS squads (Experience and Core Platform), consuming Maya apps (Maya Consumer App, Maya Business App), data platforms (Databricks and AWS S3), and Google Ad Manager / Google Mobile Ads to meet product requirements, latency and performance targets, and privacy and compliance standards.
• Uphold code quality — Safeguard correctness and stability through automated and unit tests, code reviews (application and infrastructure‑as‑code), and adherence to analysis and security tooling.
• Support delivery & reliability — Partner with SRE on CI/CD integration and deployments across nonproduction and production, respond to incidents and bug reports promptly, and communicate progress, blockers, and risks.
• Modernize & improve — Refactor large, complex codebases into more efficient, maintainable structures; drive SDK release governance and multi‑platform parity; and continuously research and adopt new ad‑tech and platform technologies to support monetization goals and operational efficiency.

DISPLAYED SKILL MASTERY

• Backend & platform engineering depth — Strong proficiency in Java and Spring Boot for backend/BFF services, with solid command of relational databases and ORM tools (JPA, Hibernate, Spring Data), containerized services (Docker), and cloud‑based architecture (preferably AWS). Familiarity with cross‑platform mobile or Web SDK development (Flutter, Android, iOS, or JavaScript) and Google Mobile Ads / Google Ad Manager integration is highly valuable. Backs up implementation with disciplined unit and integration testing (JUnit or similar).
• Design & architecture — Designs software independently and makes sound architectural decisions, balancing business needs, system constraints, and technical trade‑offs. Brings broad knowledge across the software stack with deep expertise in at least one area.
• Ownership & delivery — Takes strong ownership of features end to end — from analysis and design through implementation, testing, and release — and reliably follows through while juggling and prioritizing multiple efforts.
• Problem‑solving — Approaches complex, ambiguous problems with strong analytical and problem‑solving skills, and continuously seeks better solutions and self‑improvement.

• Nice to have — Experience with audience segmentation pipelines, Databricks or data‑lake integrations, ad performance telemetry, large‑scale messaging (e.g., Apache Kafka), and infrastructure‑as‑code (e.g., Terraform); fluency with AI‑assisted development tools (e.g., Cursor, Claude, OpenAI) is a plus.

• Shipped features & integrations — Campaign configurations, inventory and placement updates, SDK capabilities, BFF endpoints, and partner/ad‑network integrations delivered end to end against product requirements.
• Automated test coverage — Automated unit, regression, and smoke tests for new and modified services, sustaining quality and enabling safe, repeatable releases.
• Reliable, standards‑based delivery — Consistent compliance with the established CI/CD standard and coding standards, ensuring changes ship smoothly to non‑production and production.
• Privacy & compliance adherence — Full adherence to data privacy, advertising, compliance, and audit standards across all delivered work, including responsible handling of audience and user‑tag data.
• Clear documentation — SDK integration guides, release notes, API documentation, and other software related artifacts that keep systems maintainable and enable partner and mesh onboarding.

Required Qualifications

• Experience & education — 8+ years of professional software engineering experience, with a strong backend focus, plus a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
• Core backend expertise — Deep proficiency in Java and Spring Boot, building microservices and HTTP/HTTPS integrations (e.g., JSON), grounded in solid software design patterns and principles.
• Data & persistence — Strong experience with relational databases and ORM tools (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL, Oracle, MSSQL, JPA, Hibernate).
• Distributed & event‑driven systems — Experience with microservice and event‑driven architecture, including at least one messaging technology (e.g., Kafka, AWS SNS/SQS, RabbitMQ).
• Cloud & delivery tooling — Hands‑on experience with at least one cloud platform (e.g., AWS, GCP, Azure), containerization (Docker), CI/CD pipelines (e.g., GitLab CI/CD), version control (Git), and build tools (Maven or Gradle).
• Quality & ways of working — Proficiency in unit testing and automated quality practices, with mastery of Agile/Scrum delivery.
• Domain & nice to have — Background or familiarity with advertising technology, ad monetization, or digital marketing platforms; experience with mobile SDK development; fluency with AI‑assisted development tools.
