Job summary

Hammerjack Pty Ltd. is seeking a highly skilled Senior AWS Cloud Engineer to lead the design, development, and deployment of robust cloud solutions on AWS.

You will drive IaC with Terraform and AWS SAM, manage Kubernetes clusters, and champion DevOps practices with GitHub Actions across cross-functional teams. The role focuses on building scalable, secure, and cost-efficient cloud-native systems, with an emphasis on automation, monitoring, and secure architectures in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of hands-on experience with AWS cloud architecture, services, and deployment best practices.
• Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform and AWS SAM.
• Proven experience with Kubernetes and container orchestration strategies.
• Proficient with Docker and container image management.
• Experience implementing CI/CD pipelines with GitHub and GitHub Actions.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement highly available, scalable, and secure cloud solutions on AWS using serverless and container-based architectures.
• Develop and maintain infrastructure as code using Terraform and AWS SAM.
• Build and manage Kubernetes clusters and container orchestration using EKS or self-managed clusters.
• Automate build, test, and deployment pipelines using GitHub Actions and integrate with existing CI/CD workflows.
• Containerize applications using Docker, ensuring portability and consistency across environments.
• Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize cloud infrastructure performance, security, and cost.
• Advocate and implement best practices for DevOps, infrastructure automation, and cloud-native design.
