Job summary

Tap Growth ai is seeking a Senior Automation QA to lead automation using Playwright and drive testing framework improvements. The role requires strong JS/Node.js skills and hands-on automation experience across web and mobile storefronts.

You will collaborate with manual QA and development teams, design tests, and mentor junior QA members while ensuring high-quality software delivery in a hybrid work setup in Alabang.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in IT/CS/Engineering or equivalent.
• 5+ years in Automation QA and 2+ years Manual/Exploratory QA.
• Strong Playwright and JavaScript/Node.js experience.
• Design, develop, and maintain tests for web and mobile storefronts.
• Experience with cloud testing platforms (LambdaTest/BrowserStack/Sauce Labs).

• Design, develop, execute, and maintain automated tests with Playwright.
• Improve and optimize existing automation frameworks for Web, Mobile, and Desktop apps.

Job Overview

We are looking for a highly skilled Senior Automation QA with strong hands-on experience in Playwright to lead automation efforts, improve testing frameworks, and support high-quality software delivery.

Work Set up:Hyrbid - Dayshift (10:00am to 7:00pm)

Location: Alabang

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, execute, and maintain automated test scripts using Playwright and other frameworks.

• Enhance and optimize existing automation frameworks for Web, Mobile, and Desktop applications.

• Collaborate with Manual QA and Development teams to improve test case design and overall product quality.

• Conduct functional, regression, and system testing.

• Prepare Test Plans, Test Summary Reports, and clear defect documentation.

• Mentor and guide junior QA team members.

• Ensure adherence to SDLC, QA methodologies, and quality standards.

• Participate in continuous improvement of QA processes and tools.

Requirements & Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.

• 5+ years of experience in Automation QA and 2+ years of hands‑on Manual/Exploratory QA experience.

• Strong experience with Playwright and JavaScript/Node.js or another programming language such as Java or C#.

• Design, develop, maintain, and troubleshoot automated tests for web and mobile storefronts across multiple browsers, devices, and locales.

• Experience with cloud-based device/browser testing platforms such as LambdaTest, BrowserStack, or Sauce Labs.

• Strong knowledge of BDD frameworks and Gherkin/Cucumber, as well as automation methodologies including BDD, DDT, and KDT.

• Experience creating and maintaining API-driven automated tests, including building requests, validating responses, and using APIs for test-data setup and backend validation.

• Hands‑on experience with API testing tools such as Postman and SoapUI.

• Strong understanding of Git-based workflows and CI/CD pipelines.

• Solid understanding of e‑commerce user flows, including storefront, product search, cart, checkout, payment, order, and account‑related scenarios.

• Knowledge of SQL for test‑data creation, validation, and database verification.

• Experience working with databases such as Oracle, MySQL, SQL Server, and MongoDB.

• Ability to perform strong manual, functional, regression, integration, and exploratory testing alongside automation.

• Experience creating Master Test Plans, test strategies, test cases, and automation frameworks.

• Experience leading or mentoring small QA teams and coordinating testing activities.

• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, communication, and attention‑to‑detail skills.

• Ability to work hybrid, maintain flexible schedules, and travel when required.

• ISTQB certification is a plus.
