Job summary

LinX Outsourcing is hiring a Senior Australian Tax Accountant to join our remote team. You will prepare and review financial statements and tax returns for SME clients, and support advisory work with a detail-oriented, analytical approach.

You’ll work with an experienced team, manage your own client files, and handle GST, CGT, FBT and other Australian tax matters using Xero, MYOB and MS Office. Strong English communication is essential.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years as a Senior Australian Tax Accountant in an Australian firm or outsourcing setup.
• Strong knowledge of Australian tax, compliance and SME accounting.
• Hands-on experience with GST reconciliation, equipment finance, Div 7A, CGT and FBT.
• Proficient in Xero, MYOB, and Microsoft Office.
• Excellent written and spoken English.
• Able to manage workload and meet deadlines.
• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and review financial statements, income tax returns, BAS and IAS for Australian SME clients.
• Prepare GST reconciliation, equipment finance, Div 7A, CGT and FBT workpapers and accounts.
• Develop tax planning strategies and advisory reports.
• Spot complex tax issues and elevate them for senior review.
• Finish work on time and within budget.
• Keep workpapers, documentation and timesheets accurate.
• Follow the client’s systems and processes.
