Job summary

John Clements Family is seeking an experienced professional for a senior Middle Office role focused on income, corporate actions, and fund accounting within the investment banking / asset management domain. You will validate income, reconcile cash, and ensure data accuracy across downstream systems.

The role requires strong Excel and Power BI skills, knowledge of fixed income and dividends, and the ability to operate in shift-based production. Prior Bloomberg experience is valued.

Qualifications

• Experience with Middle Office, Income & Corporate Action processing.
• Fund Accounting knowledge in Investment Banking or Asset Management.
• Knowledge of Capital markets and trade flow; fixed income and dividends processing.
• Understanding of risk and control in Custody, Income, and Corporate Action processing.

Responsibilities

• Daily Income processing and validation for Fixed Income and Equity securities.
• Validation of accruals and amortization per client policies.
• Reconciliation and resolution of cash breaks.
• Review and validate deliverables within SLA’s.
• Create process flows for sub-processes to enable training repositories.
• Strong Excel, Power BI, AI tools for MIS reporting and data analysis.
• Willingness to work in shifts; SME to troubleshoot issues.
• Support business continuity for the team.

Job description

• At least 3+ years of experience in (Investment Banking) Middle Office / Capital markets/ Fund Accounting along with Income & Corporate Action processing.
• Experience with Middle Office operations, Income and Corporate Action processes, and Fund Accounting in Investment Banking or Asset Management Companies is preferred.
• Understanding of Investment Manager and Custody business will be a plus
• Sound Knowledge on Capital markets and trade flow is required. Knowledge on Fixed Income products and Dividends processing.
• Good knowledge upstream and downstream process is required – Knowledge on Middle Office, Custody processes.
• Good understanding of risk and control associated to Custody , Income and Corporate Action processing

What you will be responsible for

• Daily Income processing and validation for Fixed Income and Equity securities.
• Validation of Accruals and Amortization as per client specific policies.
• Reconciliation and resolution of Cash breaks.
• Review and validate deliverables are completed within the specified SLA’s
• Create process flows for the various sub-process so that a repository is created for repeated trainings in the future
• Strong Excel , Power BI and AI tools- MIS Reporting skills , data mining and analysis and Word Documents – SOPs
• Should be willing to work in shifts
• Strong SME skills to trouble shoot process issues
• Business continuity management for the respective team
• Drive process excellence initiative for the team.
• Managing Client expectation and proactive approach is a must
• Individual will have a strong customer service and operational focus and will provide integrated, value-added services to our clients

• Hands on experience in using Bloomberg Terminal for searching information on Corporate Actions, verifying coupon accruals for bonds and Price for securities.
• Good domain skills in the Fund Accounting processes especially pertaining to accruals and amortization calculation, NAV calculation.
• Candidate should be having a clear understanding of manual calculation of Interest Income and Dividend entitlements and tax implication on income payments
• Comprehensive knowledge on Research & resolution on all recon breaks such as trade break/Corporate action breaks & other product related breaks
• Candidate should be able to identify & report the process risks in the recon process
• Exposure to Data Analysis/ Data Scientist roles for work on large data sets would be preferred.
• AI and Lean/Six sigma certification will be a plus.
• Sound understanding of Risk excellence measures within the organization.
• Understanding on Robotics & BPM.
• Lead and manage a team in day-to-day production of various Recon types
• Good interpersonal, communication and people management skills
• Ability to interact with BU / Onshore team effectively and manage process deliverables as per SLA
