Job summary

TRANSCOSMOS (MALAYSIA) SDN. BHD. is seeking a Senior Associate, Finance and Accounting to lead end-to-end Financial operations across AP, AR, GL, and more. You will own month-end close, prepare financial reports, and ensure accurate processing within SLAs.

The role requires a CPA advantage, 5 years in Finance operations or BPO, and strong Excel/ERP expertise. On-site work at Transcosmos Office in McKinley Taguig; global operations support across time zones.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or equivalent; CPA license is an advantage.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in Finance Operations, Shared Services, or BPO Finance & Accounting, with at least 2 years in senior/reviewer role.
• Hands-on experience across multiple Finance functions (AP, AR, GL, FA, Treasury, Inventory, T&E) with strong month-end close and reconciliations.
• Experience with ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, Sage, Xero, or similar accounting systems.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and knowledge of MS Office applications.
• Strong attention to detail and data accuracy; knowledge of accounting principles (PFRS/IFRS).
• Excellent verbal and written English communication; strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform and oversee end-to-end Finance and Accounting processes across multiple functions.
• Own month-end and year-end closing activities including accruals and journal entries.
• Prepare and review balance sheet reconciliations and investigate reconciling items.
• Process complex transactions including supplier/customer invoices, intercompany entries, adjustments.
• Perform invoice validation, three-way matching, cash application, and bank reconciliations.
• Review work of Accounts Executives for accuracy and compliance before posting.
• Act as SME for assigned processes and guide on complex transactions.

Senior Associate, Finance and Accounting

This role involves performing and overseeing end-to-end Finance and Accounting processes across Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, General Ledger, Fixed Assets, Inventory Accounting, Treasury, and Travel & Expense functions. You will own assigned month-end and year-end closing activities, prepare and review financial reports and balance sheet reconciliations, and ensure financial transactions are processed accurately within agreed service level expectations. You will also support the leadership team with ad hoc tasks and projects that help fulfil service delivery.

Key responsibilities

Perform and oversee end-to-end Finance and Accounting processes across Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, General Ledger, Fixed Assets, Inventory Accounting, Treasury, and Travel & Expense functions

Own assigned month-end and year-end closing activities, including accruals, prepayments, provisions, and closing journal entries

Prepare and review balance sheet account reconciliations, ensuring reconciling items are investigated, documented, and cleared on a timely basis

Process complex and non-routine transactions, including supplier and customer invoices, journal entries, intercompany transactions, and adjustments

Perform and review invoice validation, three-way matching, cash application, bank reconciliations, expense claim verification, and policy compliance checks

Review the work of Accounts Executives for accuracy, completeness, and compliance before submission or posting

Act as the subject matter expert for assigned processes and provide guidance on complex transactions and exceptions

Train, coach, and onboard new team members, and support knowledge transfer activities during process transitions

Maintain and update Standard Operating Procedures, desktop procedures, and process documentation

Serve as the point of contact for internal departments and external stakeholders on escalated transaction-related concerns and financial inquiries

About you

Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, or equivalent. Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license is an advantage

Minimum of 5 years of experience in Finance Operations, Shared Services, or BPO Finance and Accounting operations, including at least 2 years in a senior, reviewer, or subject matter expert capacity

Hands-on experience across multiple Finance functions, including Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, General Ledger, Fixed Assets, Treasury, Inventory Accounting, or Travel & Expense, with strong exposure to month-end closing and account reconciliations

Working experience in ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, Sage, Xero, or similar accounting systems

Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and working knowledge of other Microsoft Office applications

Strong attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy

Sound working knowledge of accounting principles (PFRS/IFRS) and month-end closing processes

Excellent verbal and written English communication skills

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, including root cause analysis

Ability to review the work of others, provide constructive feedback, and coach team members

Amenable to work on flexible schedules to support global business operations across different geographical locations and time zones.

Amenable to work in Transcosmos Office in McKinley Taguig.
