Job summary

Emapta Global in the Philippines seeks a Senior/Assistant Manager of National Audit Quality to drive quality monitoring, guidance on ISA standards, and method development. The role anchors quality across engagements and liaises with the National Head of Quality.

You will lead quality inspections, coordinate with regulators and professional networks, and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within a global professional services environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3–5 years in audit at Senior/Assistant Manager level with a CPA.
• Strong knowledge of International Standards on Auditing (ISA) and related assurance standards.
• Exposure to audit methodologies and/or CaseWare software.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications including Excel and PowerPoint; familiarity with SharePoint.
• Experience in audit quality activities is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Promote audit quality standards across the organization and support the System of Quality Management (SoQM).
• Participate in quality monitoring and remediation activities and develop continuous monitoring processes.
• Coordinate quality inspections with audit teams and the National Head of Quality.
• Track remediation action plans, coordinate reporting, and conduct thematic reviews of SoQM.
• Assist with regulatory quality reviews involving ASIC, CA ANZ, CPA Australia, and other authorities.

Qualifications

Professional Experience and Technical Knowledge

• 3-5 years of audit experience at the Audit Senior or Assistant Manager level, with a CPA qualification or equivalent
• Strong working knowledge of International Standards on Auditing (ISA) and other relevant assurance standards
• Good knowledge of established audit methodologies and/or CaseWare software
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Excel and PowerPoint, and familiarity with SharePoint
• Experience in audit quality activities, including file inspections, regulatory reviews, or similar engagements, is an advantage
• Strong risk assessment, analytical, critical-thinking, and problem-solving skills

Communication, Training, and Research

• Strong oral and written communication skills, including drafting audit practice aids, professional bulletins, or newsletters.
• Experience developing and facilitating training, including strong presentation skills.
• A passion for audit quality and a genuine interest in researching auditing technical developments.
• A thirst for knowledge and continuous improvement, with enthusiasm for research and sharing new ideas.

Key Responsibilities

Audit Quality and System of Quality Management

• Promote consistent audit quality standards across the organization and contribute to the effective operation of the System of Quality Management (SoQM).
• Participate in quality monitoring and remediation activities, including the development and maintenance of continuous monitoring processes.
• Coordinate quality inspections and monitoring activities with audit teams and the National Head of Quality.
• Track remediation action plans, coordinate internal and external reporting, and conduct focused thematic reviews of the System of Quality Management.
• Assist with regulatory and professional quality reviews involving ASIC, CA ANZ, CPA Australia, international professional networks, and other relevant authorities.

Audit Methodology, Policies, and Technical Guidance

• Maintain and update audit manuals, technical policies, and related software tools under the supervision of the National Technical team.
• Administer and update the National Audit Masters database and associated document generators.
• Provide technical guidance to auditors on the application of established audit methodologies and International Standards on Auditing.
• Resolve audit template issues that require technical expertise beyond standard IT troubleshooting.
• Assist National Technical team members with audit methodology inquiries and related technical requirements.

Quality Improvement and Practice Development

• Develop audit quality tools, technical guidance, and process improvements that enhance consistency and efficiency across the assurance practice.
• Monitor compliance with divisional engagement administration policies and established professional practices.
• Contribute to national technical initiatives and other audit quality improvement projects.

Training and Professional Knowledge Development

• Prepare training resources, self-study modules, course materials, and case studies under the supervision of the Audit & Assurance Training Senior Manager.
• Coordinate administrative activities for national Audit & Assurance training programs.
• Research, draft, and edit technical publications, including website articles, audit practice aids, and professional guidance statements.
