The Qualifications We Seek
Education Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
Demonstrated Experience & Attributes
Essential
- At least 3 to 4 years of experience in a similar accounting or finance role
- Strong written and verbal English communication skills
- Advanced Microsoft Excel and Power BI skills
- Strong knowledge of general accounting principles
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team
- Strong problem-solving and query resolution skills
Desirable
- Exposure to Workday
- Exposure to Australian-based companies
Your Daily Tasks
- Prepare and process data within source systems
- Prepare and post recurring and ad hoc accounting journals as required
- Review journal entries prepared by other team members to ensure accurate coding and compliance with firm policies
- Assist the Accounts Payable team with the preparation of local and international payments for processing
- Assist the Accounts Receivable team with receipt processing and the identification of unmatched receipts
- Prepare assigned balance sheet reconciliations on a monthly basis
- Assist with financial data analysis and the preparation of draft reports
- Reconcile source systems with the general ledger, including Work in Progress and Debtors
- Maintain accurate process notes and user guides, document changes to key processes, and enhance existing documentation
- Provide excellent customer service through collaboration, effective communication, and delivery of outcomes
- Manage Workday Help support requests and provide timely responses to queries
- Complete tasks on time and in accordance with weekly team targets and priorities
- Ensure adherence to firm policies
- Maintain financial security through compliance with internal accounting controls
- Share knowledge with team members through effective communication
- Contribute to team objectives and achieve related results as required
- Assist with and cross-skill across other Group Finance activities as required
- Perform other ad hoc duties as required
