Job summary

STMicroelectronics is seeking a Senior Engineer - Assembly Process to drive key improvement programs for assembly processes, product quality, and to prevent customer complaints. The role requires leadership of the Process Engineering team and hands-on development of methods, materials, and control plans.

Responsibilities include improving yield, analyzing failures, documenting procedures, supporting new product introductions, and ensuring safety and housekeeping in the manufacturing area.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electronics & Communications, Electrical, Mechanical or Industrial Engineering.
• At least seven years technical and supervisory experience handling Process Engineering tasks in a similar environment.
• Must demonstrate skills in problem solving tools, MSA, Statistical Process Control, FMEA, Eight Discipline (8D), QC Tools, CA/PA & QMS.
• Familiar with Pre-Assembly, Assembly Front Of Line, End-of-Line, Testing Process, Finishing & Packing Process.

Responsibilities

• Improve process yield and monitor opportunities to reduce scrap.
• Analyze customer complaints using 8D problem solving and DOE.
• Promote product quality documentation and robust operations.
• Develop new process methods and materials within ST standards.
• Lead process improvement initiatives and support NPI and line-stressing.
• Manage the Process Engineering team and provide KPI-based updates.
• Provide technical reports on process performance and implement corrective actions.
