ESCA Incorporated is seeking a senior architect/urban planner to lead master planning and design for complex projects in Metro Manila. The role combines client engagement, regulatory coordination, and design leadership across multiple project phases.
Applicants should have a professional license, 8+ years in master planning, and proficiency with AutoCAD, Revit/BIM, and SketchUp. LEED accreditation is a plus and a strong team leadership mindset is expected.
Master Planning & Urban Design
Develop comprehensive master development plans/MDP for planned unit developments/PUD, transit-oriented developments/TOD, mixed-use developments/MXD, urban districts, and large-scale projects.
Integrate land use, transportation, infrastructure, and environmental considerations into physical planning solutions.
Design Leadership
Lead conceptual and schematic design phases, ensuring design excellence and feasibility.
Provide creative direction and oversee design quality across all project stages.
Stakeholder Engagement
Interface/collaborate with clients, government agencies, and community stakeholders to align project goals with deliverables.
Present design concepts and master development plans/MDP effectively through reports, analyses, concepts, solution sets/drawings/specifications, and visualizations.
Technical & Regulatory Compliance
Ensure compliance with all levels of development controls/DC, i.e., physical planning regulations/standards, building/fire/accessibility/construction codes/standards, sustainability standards, professional regulatory laws/PRL, LGU zoning/special ordinances (ZO/SO), deeds of restrictions/DoR, design standards & guidelines/DSG, suppletory international standards, and the like.
Coordinate with engineers, landscape architects, interior designers and other allied technological/natural & built environment/NBE consultants for integrated solutions.
Project Development & Management
One (1) year of combined experience in client recruitment/project development, and proposal preparation;
One (1) year of contract document preparation and contract management, i.e., including the management of timelines, budgets, and resources for master development planning and design projects.
Construction management experience for at least one (1) year;
Mentor junior architects, planners and designers, fostering a culture of innovation and excellence.
Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Urban Planning, or related field
Professional Architect license.
LEED or sustainability accreditation is a plus.
Minimum of 8 years experience in master planning and architectural design.
Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit/BIM, and Sketch up.
Strong knowledge of zoning, land-use regulations, and sustainable design principles.
Good project management skills.
People/Team Management skills is a plus.
Good to excellent communication, negotiation and presentation skills.
