Job summary

JPMorganChase in the Philippines is seeking a Technology application support engineer to ensure stability, availability, and performance of critical production flows used by internal users and external clients. You will troubleshoot issues, support incident management, and collaborate with technology teams to improve reliability and user experience.

The role requires hands-on troubleshooting, automation mindset, and experience across on-premises and cloud environments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience.
• At least 5 years in production IT services support.
• Strong communication across multiple levels and teams.
• Proficiency in scripting to automate tasks and runbooks.
• Experience with databases and SQL scripting.

Responsibilities

• Provide end-to-end production application support to enable uninterrupted operations.
• Perform daily production support and maintenance for stability and performance.
• Monitor system health and capacity across platforms to preempt risks.
• Triage issues and communicate with stakeholders during resolution.
• Analyze trends to support incident, problem, and change management.
• Create runbooks and knowledge-base documentation for consistency.
• Collaborate with engineering to deploy via CI/CD pipelines.
• Implement infrastructure and configuration as code for apps.
• Identify opportunities for automation and tooling enhancements.
• Apply service level indicators and objectives to resolve issues proactively.
• Support site reliability engineering practices within the team.
• Work with Unix/Linux and Windows environments and cloud platforms.
