Job summary

PlayTime Entertainment in Manila is seeking an experienced software professional to design, develop, and maintain business applications, including content publishing and monetization systems. You will troubleshoot issues, support internal users, and contribute to knowledge base development.

Collaborating with Engineering, Product, Data, and other teams, you will translate business needs into technical solutions, follow SDLC practices, and participate in deployments and quality assurance

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, IT, software engineering, or related field.
• 5–8 years of relevant experience in software development, application development, or a similar technical role.
• Experience in application support, production support, technical support, or system troubleshooting is an advantage.
• Proficiency in at least one mainstream back-end programming language, such as Java, Python, or Go.
• Working knowledge of SQL, including basic queries and data validation for troubleshooting.
• Basic understanding of SDLC and version control (Git).
• Good communication and collaboration with Product, Engineering, Data, and business teams.
• Willingness to learn new technologies and manage multiple tasks with priorities.

Responsibilities

• Participate in the design, development, maintenance, and continuous improvement of business applications, including content publishing platforms, monetization and advertising systems, and internal business tools.
• Develop, modify, and maintain application components using appropriate languages and frameworks, following coding standards and version control.
• Provide day-to-day technical and application support to internal users and business teams; investigate issues and coordinate escalation as needed.
• Manage assigned application support tickets from investigation to resolution; document steps and solutions.
• Create and maintain technical documentation and a knowledge base to improve response times and reduce recurring issues.
• Work with Engineering, Product, Data, and business teams to translate requirements into technical solutions.
